ABOUT THE ROLE

Our company is looking for an additional Site Supervisor to join our team as part of a number of new roles we have due to the growth of the business.

You will play a crucial role in managing the daily activities of a cladding remediation site, including coordinating sub-contractors, ordering, and coordinating materials, while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will support and report to the Project Manager
  • Ensure the compliance with all Intelligent FS and client safety procedures
  • Ensure effective coordination of all construction activities
  • Create a safety culture where collaboration can thrive and succeed.
  • Review, monitor and improve site safety coordination.
  • Setting regular reporting including but not limited to
    • Planning recording meetings
    • Daily safety diaries (using Safety Culture)
    • Daily Prestart Safety briefings with sub-contractors (using Safety Culture)
    • Weekly Health & Safety audits (using Safety Culture)
    • Near miss reporting (using Safety Culture)
    • Toolbox Talks (using Safety Culture)
    • Site working permits (using Safety Culture)
  • Plan of works ensuring all works are to programme
  • Ensure the projects are completed on time and budget

 

Person Profile

  • You will have specialist knowledge of project and construction management, in particular cladding remediation works, supervision of trades & labour, risk assessment and control
  • You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as site supervisor / manager, working within the industry overseeing projects of £1m+
  • You will be a natural leader with a passion for high quality finishes and strong focus on health and safety procedures
  • You will have a strong eye for attention to detail and a keen inspector of the quality of projects through each phase
  • You will have a high level of technical competency.
  • You must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office, ideally with an aptitude for digital systems.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Full UK driver’s license

 

Qualifications and Accreditations

  • NVQ Level 3 – Occupational Work Supervision (or similar)
  • Current CSCS Gold card
  • Current SMSTS / SSSTS
  • Valid First Aid at work certificate

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Location:  Hale, Altrincham
Reporting To: Commercial Director
Timescales: Immediate
Salary: £30k-£40k plus 4k car allowance

Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm

The key purpose of this role is to provide commercial management of construction projects within the built environment. As a rapidly expanding company, Intelligent FS requires experienced specialists to join the team and support further growth.
Background Intelligent FS is a Principal Contractor in the Construction industry, providers of specialist re-cladding, general built environment, and high-end residential construction services.

About The Role
Our company is looking for a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team; the ideal candidate
Ideally a degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a Quantity
Surveyor, reporting into Managing Surveyor together with the project teams and Commercial
Director.

Responsibilities
Carry out estimating role including:
– Measurement Preparation of estimates
– Tender submissions
– Preparation of estimates
– Tender submissions
–  Contractual
– Review of main contracts
– Attending meetings
– Scoping & Procurement of trade packages
– Prepare tender and subcontract documents, including bills of quantities.
– Certifying subcontractor payments
– Producing subcontractor instruction/variation reports
– Assisting Project team with financial implications of site progress decisions
– Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate
with the contractors

Commercial
– Maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management on projects worked on
– Commercially manage and control SC packages on projects worked on
– Assist in the protection of the Company’s contractual position on projects worked on
– Produce and agree accounts on projects worked on prepare financial reports as required
– Prepare final accounts and claim document
– Complete cost and value reconciliations
– Provide commercial input to the business for financial forecasting

Projects: experienced is preferred but not essential
– External envelope
– Residential
