Specialist cladding contractor, Intelligent FS, has set its sights on making 2023 its best year yet as work kicks off on a number of multi-million pound contracts.

The Altrincham-based company, which has just appointed Conservative Peer Lord Richard Harrington as its chairman and director, will tackle over 1,000 apartments across the Northwest of England – retrospectively fitting safe cladding onto residential buildings.

The firm, which will get to work in Manchester, Mansfield and Leeds, will create more than 100 construction jobs across the various sites.

Intelligent FS, which enjoys more than 60 years’ experience in the construction industry, is unique in employing a boutique cladding team to tackle the UK cladding crisis following the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017.Since the disaster, more than 50 high-rise buildings still have the same highly flammable cladding that killed 72 people.

The company is also planning a huge £500,000 investment in digital technology and online infrastructure.

Speaking about the plans for 2023, Intelligent FS co-founder Adam Gallagher said:

“2023 is shaping up to be an exceptional year for Intelligent FS. After recently appointing former construction minister Richard Harrington as our chairman, we are about to start work on our new contract wins which will help unlock 100 new construction jobs.

“We are investing heavily to help give our business a digital edge. I believe going digital will not only streamline process and procedure, but it will also make the company leaner and more adaptable to market changes.

“Our shared mission is to make Britain’s residential buildings safe and sustainable, with protecting residents the number one priority. It is an exciting time for the business and we are all looking forward to getting going in the New Year.”
